Life Coaching

Are you on a quest for something in your life... perhaps a bit more authenticity, peace or joy? Do you feel like you’re searching for something, but aren’t sure where to begin? If that’s the case, Buddhist Life Coaching could be the support you need.

You may be more familiar with psychotherapy and wonder, "Why life coaching instead of psychotherapy?"

Psychotherapy often focuses on your past and the experiences or trauma that have brought you to where you are today. Your therapist is coming from a place of professional expertise, helping you understand what has happened throughout your life, work through those experiences, and get to the roots of what you're experiencing. Therapy can be a longer-term process, and there are certainly times when it may be the right answer

Life Coaching takes a different approach. It is a relationship with someone who is alongside you as an equal. You are yourself, and I'm me. We can look at the same information together, but I bring a different perspective that may help you see things you can't otherwise see. That perspective comes from my experience as a Buddhist and as a certified life coach, but also simply from having an outside set of eyes to talk things through with. Coaching is about exploring what's in front of you right now. What's going on in your life? What are you looking to change, add, or make better? Rather than looking primarily at the past and trying to figure out what's wrong, we can look at the present and ask, how do we make things good and right? Yes, I'm a Buddhist life coach, and that perspective informs how I understand life, peace, joy, happiness, suffering, and all of those things. But does this mean you have to be Buddhist? Absolutely not. If you're Buddhist, fine. If you're not, that's fine too. Buddhism is simply the perspective from which I'm coming, and it may open up new insights that can help you achieve what you want in your life right now.
